Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the award for the ‘Champion of Democracy'.
Naij reports that a statement by Global Village Extra (a US-based newspaper) organisers of the award, said that Tinubu beat former president Goodluck Jonathan and Rotimi Amaechi to win the award.
Taiye Olayemi, publisher of the online news medium, said “Tinubu will be presented with the award in a lavish ceremony during the Global Village Extra Seminar and Awards night slated for October 28-30, 2016, in the United States.”
