Reports have emerged as to the reason ex Aviation Minister, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode was rearrested by the EFCC on Friday.

Quoting an EFCC source, Vanguard said Fani-Kayode was rearrested after new evidence showed that he accepted some extra money from the office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, before the 2015 presidential elections.

This is different from the N4.9bn fraud charge he's currently being tried for, the source said.

“We are going to move him to Abuja to answer fresh questions arising from the new evidence that he personally collected various sums of money from the ONSA”.

“There is a fresh case of various sums of money traced to the suspect, which has nothing whatsoever to do with the N4.9 billion case we instituted against him and others in Lagos.

“We arrested Fani-Kayode because we need him to explain to our operatives why he took the money and what he used it for. It is clear from the records before us that he received the money directly from the NSA.

“From the record before us, the suspect signed and collected the sum of N26 million for undisclosed purpose and we want him to explain to us why he took the cash in the first place,” the source said.

I just wonder the kind of country we are into, no wonder David Cameron said Nigeria is fantastically corrupt. No wonder the Western countries call Nigeria third world country. It baffles me alot, that a Nigerian will loot amount worth 4.9b and 26m, still he will open his stinking mouth to tell Nigerians that people are after his life what a shame. Can FFK do this in the western country and he will not be jailed for life.
