According to FCT Comptroller of Prisons, National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh was in handcuffs when he appeared in trial on Friday.
This is unlike the other accused persons standing trial for allegedly receiving sums of money from the “$2.1 Billion” arms fraud and the PDP has raised concerns about the issue.
According to the Prison Comptroller, Metuh was handcuffed on 'orders from above', Daily Sun reports.
“I have orders from above, to make sure accused person (Chief Olisa Metuh) appeared in Court in handcuffs” he reportedly said.
The PDP chief was granted bail by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Friday.
