Nigerian Senate on Tuesday stood down President Muhammadu Buhari's request for the confirmation of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC RECs for two weeks in protest against Ibrahim Magu's continued headship of EFCC.

The senators said they are waiting to hear from President Muhammadu Buhari over Ibrahim Magu's rejection.

Here are the seven senators that requested the Senate to step down the confirmation request of 27 REC nominees for 2 weeks.

1. Sen. Uroghide also wants the request to be stand down, cites Magu's case, that after their decision he is still acting Chairman of the EFCC

2. Senator Adamu Aliero supports the nomination & begged his colleagues to look into the list & allow the screening to go on.

3. Sen. Anyanwu: "If the Senate is ridiculed our institution has been ridiculed, we will try as much as possible to promote this institution"-

4. Sen. Francis Alimikhena : "Lets hear from @MBuhari on Magu's case, Magu is terrorising us, because we disqualified him"

5. Senator Nwaoboshi suggested that Senate may step down the Confirmation since they are acting and that Mr. Buhari's appointees disrespect the Senate.

6. Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu said there's a time frame to stand down the confirmation and implored the Senate President Bukola Saraki to convey their feelings to Mr. President .

7. SP, Bukol Ssaraki confirmed the Senators' prayers and put the confirmation of INEC REC on hold for two weeks.
