A Zimbabwe magistrate has acquitted top human rights lawyer, Beatrice Mtetwa from charges of obstructing justice and being unruly with the police.

Ms Mtetwa, a strong critic of Mugabe was put on trial in June after she was arrested on charges of using abusive language
toward officers who were searching for an official from Mr Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change.

Her arrest sparked widespread condemnation. The court ruled that Ms Mtetwa did not in any way prevent the police from doing their jobs and acquitted her of all charges.
