Sports No Show From NFF: Rayo Valecano raise €21K for former Nigerian goalkeeper Wilfred Agbonavbare

Spanish clubside Rayo Valecano have raised some money for their former Nigerian goalkeeper Wilfred Agbonavbare, who is battling with cancer.

Agbonavbare is in a critical situation and has been admitted in a hospital in Florida, USA, but needs money for his recuperation.

According to Spanish daily Marca, Rayo Vallecano organized a campaign: #FuerzaWilfred (Wilfred Force) and they have been able to realize the sum of 21,106.90 Euros which they handed out to his family.

Rayo Vallecano before their game this past weekend jointly displayed a banner with their opponents, in support of their former player.

So far, nothing has been said by the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) with regards to assist Agbonavbare come out of his predicament.

He was part of the Nigerian team that won the 1994 African Nations Cup title in Tunisia.
