The audio leaked by Sahara reporters is being aptly tagged #EkitiGate, and since it is a really long audio file ( more than 2 hours, actually), we are bringing you some of the crucial bits.

Since the audio went out, speculation has been rife, with extrapolations expanding on the already data-rich theories that can be drawn from the sensational audio file.

One of such theories is that Nigeria's Minister of State For Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro was ordered to Ekiti state to rig the elections in favor of PDP and secure Ayo Fayose's seat on the throne.

The singular sentence attributed to Obanikoro which is supplied as substantiating this claim is:
“I'm not here for tea party, am on a special assignment by the President.”

Obanikoro has since then responded on air (radio program) thus: "I have not heard the recording but there is nowhere in the world you will find me talking about rigging an election."
