Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has extended his congratulations to President Bola Tinubu following the Supreme Court's confirmation of Tinubu's victory in the February 15, 2023, presidential election. Adeleke, a prominent member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), expressed hope that President Tinubu's administration would usher in a period of peace and prosperity for the nation. In a statement issued on Thursday, Adeleke's spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, quoted the governor as offering his felicitations.
The congratulatory message was conveyed during an event attended by the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Folasade Ojo-Tinubu, in Ede, Osun State. Ojo-Tinubu had come to attend the 8th Day Fidau prayer for the father of Osun State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Wahab Ayofe.
Adeleke commended both the PDP and Labour Party (LP) for contributing to the development of the country's electoral jurisprudence by pursuing their grievances through the legal process. He also praised the judiciary for its effectiveness in resolving electoral disputes.
