Former Nigeria captain Austin Okocha believes the Algerian national team are better placed to win the 2015 African Nations Cup tournament.
Many people are tipping Algeria as the favourite to win the tournament in Equatorial Guinea next year, having what seemed like a more complete team than others.
"Algeria has a strong chance of passing in the quarterfinals. I would say that Algeria has the opportunity to win the African Cup. We saw the face that the team of Algeria presented at the last World Cup’’ Okocha told La Buteur.
He also believes that Ivory Coast stands a chance in the competition, considering the players in their ranks.
"Ivory Coast, for some time, is one of the favorites. The Ivoirians have a team of talented players. I do not understand how they manage to miss each time they CAN. Maybe 2015 will be good for them."
