The first runner-up in the Anambra governorship primaries of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Mrs. Uche Ekwunife, has sued the party's candidate Chief Willie Obiano over alleged double registration.
Obiano is alleged to have registered in Lagos and Anambra states respectively, which amounts to double registration
According to Osun Defender, Ekwunife is challenging Obiano's eligibility as the APGA's flag bearer. She is contending that the alleged double registration status of Obiano with the Independent National Electoral Commission as a voter disqualified him from contesting the election.
Ekwunife wants the court to declare her as the candidate of APGA, she is also seeking recognition by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as APGA's candidate.
The court is yet to fix a date for hearing in the suit.
