Sports Angel Di Maria proves money worth helping Man Utd beat QPR 4-0

Manchester United seemed to have turned a new corner after putting in a dominant display to beat Queens Park Rangers 4-0 at Old Trafford.

Louis Van Gaal with the win secured his first victory in five games since taking over at Manchester United this season.

After spending a lot of money investing in new players in the past transfer window,it was with eager anticipation that people wanted to know how they would line up.

Manchester United got value for money spent on these players, with the new boys helping them secure their first win of the season.

Almost £60m was doled out in acquiring Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid, and the Argentine proved that he was worth that figure with his all round display in the game.

His penetrating runs troubled QPR,and the gulf in class between the two teams was glaringly evident.

Juan Mata had the game's first chance after being set through on goal, but the Spaniard shot high in the stands.

The game's opening goal was gotten by Di Maria who floated in a curling free-kick that eluded everybody and found it's way past Robert Green.

It then turned into a Di Maria show as he completely dictated play and was full of energy.

The Argentine started the move that led to the second goal, laying in a perfect pass to Wayne Rooney who followed up his initial shot that was blocked, and he set it up for Ander Herrara who drilled in a low shot for the second goal.

There was time for Rooney just before the break to find the net, scoring the third goal of the match,a personal landmark for himself equalling Thierry Henry's 175 goals scored the Premier League.

Di Maria still had another time to make an impression, picking out Mata in the box to roof in the fourth goal for United.

Radamel Falcao was introduced in the game as a substitute to a rousing welcome by the fans, and the Colombian almost capped a perfect debut with a goal, latching on to Daley Blind's rebound but Green made amends to stop his effort.

Overall United were the better team and it showed with David De Gea having to make just one save in the match.

United could well have started a new era but it is left to be seen how well they will fare against the big teams.
