Borno state Commissioner of Environment, Alhaji Waziri Imam is dead, Daily Post claims.
It's reported that he died of an undisclosed ailment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching hospital shortly after voluntarily offering himself up for treatment.
“We had no premonition that this would be his final moment on earth, as he took himself to the hospital and he never returned,” a family member said.
Until his death, he was a younger brother to Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, a one time Presidential Liaison Officer to the Senate in the fourth Republic and two time Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Governor of Borno State in 2003 and 2007.
