Sahara Reporters has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari suffered speech impairment and memory loss as complications from his treatment in the UK but is now much better.
Quoting two senior aides who are conversant with the matter, the medium said Buhari might head home within a week, subject to clearance by his doctors.
“Mr. President [Buhari] is getting better and wanting to return to Nigeria very soon", one of the aides said, stating that the matter “totally depends on his doctors".
Asked if the side effects included speech problems and memory loss, the second source obliquely acknowledged those side effects. However, he claimed “the issues [side effects] are temporary. They occurred after the medical team administered a particular medication on Mr. President.”
The same source revealed that President Buhari had been receiving blood transfusions to help improve his health.
