Embattled majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Chidi Llyod was arraigned today, by the Police.
Hon. Lloyd is facing a six-count charge of conspiracy to murder and assault, attempted murder and malicious damage arising from the fracas in the Rivers state House of Assembly on the 9th July.
The Rivers lawmaker was unable to walk on his own but was aided by two security men into the courtroom.He was brought amidst a very tight security mounted by the anti-riot police officers drawn from the Rivers State Police Command.
The presiding Judge was unable to hear the case due to an embargo placed by the by the State’s Attorney General.
Hon. Mr. Lloyd will remain in detention until August 6th when his case will be heard.
