House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara visited President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The speaker and the president met behind closed doors for few minutes.
That was Dogara’s second visit to the president since the speaker was accused of ‘padding’ the 2016 budget by a former chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin. The last visit was on the 5th of August.
According to DailyTrust, the meeting was also attended by the Minister of Education Adamu Adamu, as well as Senators Abubaka Tugga and Sulaiman Nasif, all of whom are from Dogara’s home state of Bauchi.
Dogara, who refused to speak with journalists said: “I am on holiday. Let me enjoy my holiday. I came to see the president with my brothers. When the House reconvenes, you can ask me all the questions, please,” he said.
