A female patient, brought to the Dalhatu Specialist Hospital for vomiting blood and giving up the ghost later, caused quite an Ebola scare in Nasarawa state, Nigeria.
The Chief Medical Director of Dalhatu Specialist Hospital, Lafia, #Nasarawa State, Dr. Ahmed Ashuku, however dismissed the rumours, saying the woman was diagnosed with chronic liver disease.
He also said that another patient who was also diagnosed of chronic pelvic ulcer with symptoms related with that of Ebola had tested negative to #Ebola by the state response team.
He according to #Punch said Nasarawa had no recorded case of the #EVD.
Also, the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, there was nothing like Ebola virus disease in the state.
