Sports Enyimba, Sunshine, Shooting all won their NPFL games

Sunshine Stars of Akure have returned to the summit of the Nigeria Professional Football League on Wednesday after spanking Akwa United 3-1 on match-day 15 of the 2014/15 season.

The Akure based outfit reclaimed the leadership of the league after a dropping to the second position due to their failure to secure an away win against Enugu Rangers last weekend.

Shooting Stars have stretched their unbeaten streak to 5 games after beating Sharks of Port Harcourt in Ibadan today.

The Oluyole Warriors stunned Gbenga ogunbote's former club, Sharks of Port Harcourt 1-0 at the Adamasingba stadium, moving to the 13th position on the league table with one match at hand.

At the Enugu centre, Defending champions, Kano Pillars were beaten 2-1 by Enugu Rangers and have risen to the 8th position, while Heartland also defeated IfeanyiUbah 1-0.

Two-time CAF champions stole an away win in Ilorin after conquering the Afonja Warriors 3-2 in front of their home fans.

The people's Elephant after their midweek victory rose to the second position with 29 points from 15 games, same points as league leaders, Sunshine.
