Nigeria - A Bayelsa state commissioner and niece of former president Goodluck Jonathan has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
Madam Serefina Otazi is the Bayelsa Commissioner for Local Government and was kidnapped barely 12 hours after the abduction of Governor Dickson’s sister in Bayelsa.
Mr Patrick Oba, a nephew to the Commissioner said that she was kidnapped at gunpoint in Otuoke on her way to Ewoi Community in Ogbia Local Government Area (LGA) for a funeral.
The kidnappers, according to witnesses whisked away the victim who was in the company of two ladies when they attacked. They took away her car keys ostensibly to frustrate attempts to report the crime.
The two female occupants of the car and the driver were unharmed by the gunmen who sped off to an unknown destination in their vehicle.
