Contrary to popular opinion, the autopsy result for the former President Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Professor Festus Iyayi showed no evidence of bullets.

Iyayi was killed on November 12 in a crash involving the notoriously reckless convoy of Kogi State Governor, Mr. Idris Wada.

According to Sahara Reporters, a team of pathologists which included experts and witnesses from ASUU, medical doctors at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and the Nigerian government carried out an autopsy and unanimously determined that Mr. Iyayi was not shot. The autopsy was reportedly done about a week before the commencement of Mr. Iyayi's funeral. The official autopsy result is yet to be released to the Iyayi family.
