Yesterday in Illorin, the Kwara state capital flags of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) were lowered at it's secretariat when news of the defection of the G7 governors and their supporters to the All Progressives Congress (APC) filtered into the state.
Hon. Ayinla Folorunsho,former memeber of the House of Representatives said: “PDP will continue to rule Kwara State. I am not leaving PDP. Those who parade themselves as members of new PDP are only wasting their precious time. “PDP remains the party to beat in the state. Any attempt to join other opposition parties amounts to lack of political knowledge".
APC members in Kwara celebrated the merger.
