The first phone to be released since Google took over Motorola is always listening, waiting for you to command it…

The Touchless Control System of the Moto X is always listening for your voice prompt, and any time you say “Okay, Google Now...”, the phone begins to process your request quickly.

This is the first Motorola device to be produced since Google bought the company for $12.5bn last year. There are speculations that Google’s release of the Moto X could shake the Android market, as most companies using the Android OS (owned by Google) are still trying hard to make a profit.

This will be the first official phone released by Motorola since Google took it over in May, 2012. Other Motorola phones have been released since then, but they were phones already in development before Google took over the company.

The Moto X is a noteworthy mobile device, because it is in indicator of what Google thinks is possible using both the resources available to it at Motorola and on its Android Operating System.

It remains to be seen whether Samsung’s market share (which is currently the largest in the Android market) will take a hard hit.
