Politics Jonathan Holds Meeting With Fayose, Ekweremadu; Says PDP Will Rise Again

Nigeria's former President Goodluck Jonathan believes that his party, the PDP, will rise again.

Jonathan said PDP remains the only hope for Nigeria and begged its members to bury their differences in order to end the leadership crisis ravaging the party.

“We shall overcome the challenges and I can assure you that the PDP will rise again,” he said.

He spoke at a high-powered meeting of the party's members.

According to Jonathan, the PDP remains a light in democratic governance, its members should stop trading blames, he said.

Chieftains of the party at the meeting included, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Uche Secondus, Prof. Wale Oladipo, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Senator Walid Jibrin.

Others include Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and the National Chairman of the party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff.
