An attack by suspected Islamic sect,Boko Haram on the nation's capital,Abuja left no fewer than 21 persons dead and about 17 others injured just an hour before Nigeria played Argentina on Wednesday.
Some fans were killed last week at a viewing centre in Yobe state where they went to watch the World Cup tournament.
A distraught Keshi said that it is sad witnessing all these killings that have been going on in the country,adding that not even football can substitute for the lost lives.
"How much of a victory is football going to give for those lives?" Keshi said yesterday on learning about the attacks.
"What are they doing these guys? They did it the first game, and they now they did it again, it is sad."
