The Plateau State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew in Bokkos Local Government Area following the killing of two protesting youths by security personnel.
The youth were protesting Monday’s killing of a traditional ruler in the area.
SAF Ron Kulere, Lazarus Agai, was killed by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen along with his wife, son and orderly.
The Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, Mr. Olatunde Oladunjoye, who confirmed the development, told Punch correspondent that the two men were killed when they tried to prevent men of the Special Task Force from evacuating some persons trapped in the area as a result of the tension, which followed Agai’s killing.
