Benue State governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom, is optimisic that the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Targema Takema who slumped recently will not lose his life, saying the SSG will soon return ‘hale and hearty.’
According to Leadership, there are strong indications that the SSG, Takema who slumped last Friday may not regain his health which forced the government to take him abroad for further medical treatment.
But while escorting the convoy that took Takema to Makurdi Airport, Ortom stated that he was optimistic that he would not die, saying lack of exercise may have caused the SSG’s health to deteriorate.
He said doctors who treated Takema at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) Makurdi, had assured him that the his health had been stabilised and was improving very well.
In a statement signed by the chief press secretary to the governor, Terver Akase, said the governor has insisted that the prayers of his administration and the good people of the state are with Takema to recover as quickly as possible.
