Business Nigeria Government Begins Talks to End Militants Attack on oil Facilities

The Nigerian government have begin talks to end militants attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta.

According to The Nation, a meeting between the Federal Government and stakeholders was held at the Delta State Government House, Asaba, on Wednesday night.

Minister of Petroleum Resources (State) Dr Ibe Kachikwu, led the Federal Government’s delegation. In conjunction with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, they met with representatives of Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), Chief Ayiri Emami and other stakeholders.

It's unknown if representatives of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) were present at the meeting. The NDA is responsible for the recent attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta.

Details of the meeting weren't revealed but government could've struck a deal with the stakeholders.
