Apparently, it is not news that Nigeria is one really screwed up place to get taxis, as Brazil is currently looking into launching their Easy Taxi app, and they are pretty optimistic about its potential on Nigerian soil.

Easy app, which is based in Brazil, made it official that they are now in the global expansion phase of their business, and are looking to proliferate into Asia, the Middle East and, for the first time, Africa, with Nigeria being their intended point of entry. This is following closely on the heels of a $10million investment from African Internet Holding, which is a partnership between Rocket Internet and Millicom. Millicom is a digital services company.

According to Al Turay, the app market in Nigeria is not yet what it should be in many parts of Africa, and Easy apps is confident that the African market will take on to their apps because it will bring about ease for road users, especially the Africans abroad who visit from time to time without their cars.

Turay also noted a potential initial challenge for drivers learning to work the app, but he was also sure that the app will be popular with smartphone users.

Easy Taxi is expected to be available to eight more African countries by the end of 2013. The countries are Morocco, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Algeria, Tunisia, Angola, Egypt and Ghana.

Easy taxi was first launched in Brazil in 2011 as a sort of bridge between drivers and passengers. It currently has more than 45,000 taxi drivers on its network with more than 1.5 million downloads. The company is now ready to take its business beyond the shores of Southern America.

Well, Rocket Internet is coming up with a hotel aggregation app. And we have an "Oga at the Top" Android app on Google Android Market...LMAO.

It's a game, a parody of the Oga at the top, what is the website of NSCDC fiasco. From the reviews I saw on Google Android Market though, the game is rubbish.

Well, duh! It was a funny incident but no backstory, no future story, nothing exciting, engaging, nothing to gain. If it were an app that enabled pple not to make PR blunders on national television...

LOL....true, all true.

As it stands, the game developers were probably in a hurry to make the game. It left much to be desired, really.
