Due to the protest by supporters of Senator Ali Ndume, the Nigerian Senate has shelved plans to recall the suspended lawmaker.
A source at the National Assembly who spoke to NAN anonymously said the upper legislative chamber had intended to recall Ndume at plenary but decided to put the plan on hold because it could not be intimidated by protests.
The source however failed to disclose whether the Senate will consider lifting the suspension anytime soon.
