Several prominent Nigerians have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to sack Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, should he fail to resign for secretly owning properties worth $1.5m in Dubai.
Nigerian human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN); another Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Mike Ozekhome; Second Republic House of Representatives member, Dr. Junaid Mohammed are among those calling for his resignation or sacking.
Others are the Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, and the National Publicity Secretary of the National Advance Party, Mr. Tosin Odeyemi.
The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, said Buratai's issue plays a crucial part in Buhari's anti corruption war. He said treasury looters should return the loot they've stolen, apart from being fired.
