Cristiano Ronaldo has said he would love to play alongside Lionel Messi and Manuel Neuer in the same team in the future.
The Real Madrid star on Monday pipped both Messi and Neuer to win the FIFA Ballon d'or award, achieving a third triumph.
Speaking after winning the award, Ronaldo was asked which footballers from the past he would love to have played with.
"Football is about the present," he said. "The most important thing is the present. In the past there were great players, but for me it would be interesting to play with the two that are here with me now."
Messi on his part admitted that it will be difficult because the play for rival teams,but acknowledged that Ronaldo is amongst the best players to play with.
"I always like playing with the best players," he said. "It may be difficult because of the teams we play for, but I like to play with the best and he is one of them."
