The #SaveMayowa fund raising plea was a move to raise a sum of $100,000 to save Cancer patient, Mayowa Ahmed, a patient suffering from ovarian cancer.
Indications emerged today that the fund raising campaign was not genuine as the family had been told the case was beyond redemption before the fund raising campaign.
In a quick reaction, the family debunked the scam rumour, saying they await papers to fly Mayowa for treatment.
