Sports CAF may likely sanction Nigerian clubs

The Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) has warned the Nigerian clubs taking part in continental championships that they could face sanctions from the Confederation of African Football(CAF) following their late registrations for their respective competitions.

Kano Pillars, Enyimba FC, Warri Wolves FC and Dolphins FC are the four clubs representing Nigeria on the continent.

The NFF gave the four clubs till the end of today to finish their registrations or be prepared for the worst.

"The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) seriously warns that your club should be ready to face any sanction the organizer (CAF) will give erring clubs,” the football federation said in a statement.

Clubs from other countries are said to have finished with their own registrations, leaving out the Nigerian teams.

"The NFF gave the four clubs until Wednesday, 17th December, 2014 to submit their players’ details or face the prospect of disqualification.
