A middle-aged man, Jonathan Agwu, was during the weekend electrocuted to death while finding the fault of a power line at Agba Abor Isu in Onicha LAG of Ebonyi state.

According to VANGUARD, the man went to jumper a high tension KVA line that was isolated by Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EDDC even as he joined the engineers trace where there was fault.

“The man went to do our work; he decided to turn himself into EDDC staff by force by climbing up to jumper line that was isolated by the company to help them trace where there is fault," the Public Relations Officer of EDDC in Ebonyi, Mr. Lazarus Chiedozie Onyearugbulam said, stressing that the victim was not a staff of the company.

“So he went to jumper it on his own, a 33KVA high tension line and unfortunately he paid the ultimate price”.

The deceased according to sources was said to be a native of Umufu village, Amanato in Isu but was not known to be an EDDC staff in the state.
