Abia State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Sylvester Ezeani, has been arrested by EFCC for receiving a N20 million bribe to influence the 2015 Presidential election results in favor of PDP.
Mr. Ezeani coordinated the election in Cross Rivers State.
Vanguard said the money he collected was part of the N241 million released out of the $115 million lodged with Fidelity Bank by ex Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, to manipulate the poll.
He is reportedly answering questions but EFCC detectives aren't satisfied with his answers. He hasn't been granted administrative bail.
