In a photo making rounds online, the Governor of Benue state, Dr. Samuel Ortom has reportedly empowered youths in his state with wheel barrow, perhaps for farm purposes. Benue, a middle-belt state in Nigeria, is known for his agricultural practices.

Ortom-led state executive council had in June 2016 approved that Friday every week would be made a work free day to enable workers in the state to work on their farms.

This can be really bad instead of encouraging youths to embrace education. He wants them to go back to pushing wheelbarrow for what living exactly? How much will they make in a day to sustain them and family? This is unacceptable

I had thought like you until I read the report. They say it is carry their farm produce, so, it is possibly for youth farmers. Lets just watch and see.

He should make sure that the barrow is strictly used to carry farm produce except if he intending to promote the activities of touts in the state.
