Abisoye Taiwo, a 100 level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) was on Thursday reportedly shot dead by policemen during a students' protest.
According to Naij, the students were protesting serial cases of robbery incidents in the school and the school management’s seeming nonchalant attitude towards their plight.
Finding it hard to curb the growing unrest, policemen reportedly pulled up their firearms and opened fire on the students. Taiwo was shot in the process. He was taken to the hospital for treatment thereafter, reports say.
