Trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday closed bullish.

With the overall performance indicators, NSE ASI appreciated by 0.49 per cent to close at 25,373.42 basis points, as against 0.62% depreciation recorded previously.

The number of gainers at the close of trading session was 17, while decliners closed at 17. Further analysis of the day’s trading showed that Nigeria's energy company Septlat topped the gainers with an increase of 18 per cent followed by Nigerian Breweries and Guaranty Trust bank, GTB plc with 2 per cent and 0.57 per cent respectively.

On the flip side, 7UP, Mobill and Cadbury Plc led the losers’ chart down by -6.5 per cent, -5 per cent and -0.45 per cent respectively.
