Luis Suarez has been banned for nine matches by the world football governing body,FIFA after he was found guilty for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini in their World Cup game on Tuesday.

In addition, the Liverpool player is banned from all football activity for four months and would also pay a 100,000 Swiss Francs fine.

Claudio Sulser, chairman of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee: "Such behaviour cannot be tolerated on any football pitch"

"and in particular not at a FIFA World Cup when the eyes of millions of people are on the stars on the field."

Suarez and Uruguay can still appeal the ban but it appears that his World Cup is now over.

It is the biggest sanction ever handed out to a player in World Cup history.

He should be banned from 2 World Cup finals because he misbehaved during the World Cup and not just any campaign like it was pointed out that 'millions are on the stars on the field'!

That's cheap punishment!
