Al Ain head coach, Zlatko Dalic has pleaded for more time for Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike after the Nigerian played four games without a goal.

The 2013 African Cup of Nations highest goal joined the UAE side from Fenerbache on a season-long loan deal.

Thenewly explained that the newly acquired foreign players namely Ryan Babel and Felipe Bastos needs more time to fit into the club after a training camp in Austria.

Al Ain played four pre-season games against Uzbek Locomotiv (1-0), Hull City (4-0), Al Hilal (2-1) and Al Sadd (0-0) and failed to win any along the way.

"The new foreign players has begun to gel with the team very well, we have seen improvement in Emmanuel Emenike. I believe that the Nigerian, Dutch (Babel) and Brazilian (Bastos) need more time with the team to give their best for the team,” the Croatian coach remarked.

“I am happy with the performances of the players and the team, but we are yet to reach our potentials."

Al Ain left for Morocco, Thursday where they will face Moroccan champions Wydad Casablanca on Saturday in a friendly. Africanfootball
