Skye Bank has confirmed media reports about why it didn't allow former First Lady Patience Jonathan to withdraw from her unfrozen account.
Rasheed Bolarinwa, Skye Bank’s head of corporate communication, on Wednesday said the bank had received a stay of execution order filed by the EFCC prior to Mrs. Jonathan’s visit to the bank.
He also confirmed that the bank was also notified of an appeal by the EFCC against the court order.
A court had lifted the ban on Patience Jonathan's account last week.
