Nigerian-Lebanese billionaire Gilbert Chagoury, and owner of the giant Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos has been barred from entering the United States of America.
Los Angeles Times reports that Chagoury had his visitor’s visa denied last summer under terrorism grounds. The media house is reporting that Chagoury’s visa troubles likely stem from his support of a Christian Lebanese politician. The politician, Michel Aoun, is part of the same political coalition as Hezbollah, which the United States deems a terror group.
Chagoury has also been linked with the Hillary Clinton campaign because he donated some money to the Bill Clinton foundation.
