This is probably because APGA has already won in at least 16 local government areas.George Moghalu, Ngige's Campaign Director, berates INEC for organizing elections on Sunday.
Meanwhile, INEC has denied suspending collation of results as reported in a section of the media.
Election is ongoing in Idemili-north LGA at the polling unit at the Peoples Club Owerri road.
While we await the official result announcement by INEC later today at Awka, the state capital, senator Chris Ngige is seriously displeased with INEC.
He described the election as a charade and said he wasn't sure if Iwu's INEC administration was any different from Jega's.
He said that INEC is deliberately conducting the elections on sunday in the 65 wards of Obosi - which, as we have come to believe, is Ngige's 'strong hold' - to reduce the number of people who would vote. He believes that conducting an election on Sunday (a worship day) would seriously alter the possible vote figures.
He said that this and the incident of PDP candidate Tony Nwoye being unable to find his name on the register were calculated attempts by INEC to alter the figures in favor of Chief Willie Obiano of APGA.
Chris Ngige has called for the cancellation of the election, stating that if the election isn't nullified, his party would be taking the issue to court.
Lol. Man, I really had high hopes for this oneSurprise surprise. Has there been any election in Africa that has not been challenged?
