Politics Presidency Apologizes to Senate Over Rashness of Political Appointee Gbajabiamila

The fresh crisis brewing between the Nigerian senate and the senate has been cooled down.

The senate on Wednesday had accused the presidency of allowing political appointee Lanre Gbajamila to resume office without confirmation from the senate.

Gbajamila was appointed the Director General of the National Lottery Commission (NLC) in April 2017.

Senate Majority Leader, Ahmed Lawan, on Thursday raised order 43 over the appointment and announced that he has liaised with the executive arm of government and they have tendered a proper apology over the appointment.
