A 19-year-old pupil has allegedly killed a classmate with a drawing board. The student, James Adjei, of the Agona East District Assembly's (AEDA) Government School in Agona Kenyankor in the Ghana Central Region hit his classmate, Richard Larbie with a drawing board after the latter was seen teasing the former for scoring zero (0) mark in class exercise.

Headmaster of the school, Kwesi Hezekiah told newsmen that the deceased after the class teacher has given the students the exercise, teased that there would certainly be one of his classmates who would score zero in the exercise.

The 'prophecy' of the deceased came to pass when James Adjei scored zero after the marking. "Incidentally, after the teacher marked the exercise, the offender scored zero, the deceased then repeated his statement that he knew someone would score zero and that has come to pass…the offender was therefore offended, picked a drawing board and hit the deceased in his left rib," the headmaster said.

Larbie, after the blow fell unconscious and was rushed to the nearest CHPS compound where he was transferred to Duakwa Salvation Army Clinic where he passed on as the Doctor tried to save his life. The Police in Agona Duakwa was informed about the incident.

The father of the deceased, Samuel Ewusi, in reaction said they were informed of the death by the headmaster of the school, and said he family is awaiting the body of his son for burial.

The father also confirmed that the same suspect, Adjei impregnated the victim's sister who is 18-years-old and has been declared wanted.
