Women’s Afrobasket: D’Tigress coach not optimistic of winning

Ahead of the 2013 Afrobasket Women’s Championship,coach of Nigeria’s D’Tigress team,Scott Nnaji is refusing to guarantee that they would win the tournament.
D’Tigress will go into the championship in Maputo,Mozambique as one of the strong favourites for the title,having previously won it on two occasions.
However,the Nigerian team only commenced camping just nine days to the championship,but the coach said they will give it their best shot.
“The players are trying to adapt but I cannot give anybody any assurance but we will certainly do our best,” Nnaji told Brila FM.
Nigeria is in Group B and would play against: Cameroon, Angola, Mali, Kenya and Cape Verde in the group games.
The competition will start from September 20th to 29th and only the first two countries will proceed to the World Championship.
