President Muhammadu Buhari believes that Nigerian women belong in the kitchen.
The President made the belief known today while responding to criticism from his wife, Aisha Buhari. He said, “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room''.
However, not everyone agrees with him. In December, 2104 during the Presidential campaign, former First lady, Patience Jonathan urged Nigerian women to arise from the kitchen.
